It was 10 years ago when Princess Dóris came into her human mother’s life. At first, her father didn’t want to have a dog at home, but nowadays she sleeps in his bed. Dóris and her tutors have gone through a lot of things together, challenges, nights without sleep, days filled with anxiety and fear.
In 2013, Dóris fell ill with canine distemper after receiving the 2nd dose of the vaccine. They spent approximately 20 days making frequent visits to the veterinary clinic, where she was closely monitored and administered medication. Dóris wouldn’t eat. The veterinarian expressed little hope for her survival.
Those were terrible days. Her tutor, Kellin, would wet her fingertips with water and put it in Dóris’s mouth to keep her hydrated. When the treatment was over and Dóris recovered, Kellin was convinced that faith and love can heal.
